15-Year Fixed-Rate Mortgage Hits New All-Time Record Low
Freddie Mac released the results of its Primary Mortgage Market Survey ® (PMMS®) yesterday, showing average fixed mortgage rates declining for the third consecutive week on the heels of a weaker than expected employment report. The 30-year fixed averaged just above its record low while the 15-year fixed averaged a new all-time record low of 3.11 percent, breaking its previous low of 3.13 percent on March 8, 2012.

Those ages 15 and up can learn more about this important skill when they take a Lifeguard Prep Class at North Point Pool in Waldorf. Adolescence can be difficult time, but with a little guidance it can be smooth sailing. Girls on the Move is a vocation group that meets monthly, and is for girls ages 13-16. The group meetings help girls to develop positive attitudes about ethnic variation as well as social skills. Freddie Mac recently released the results of its Primary Mortgage Market Survey®, showing mortgage rates easing to new all-time record lows for all products covered in the survey helping to keep homebuyer affordability high. A recent survey suggests jobs and housing will be the top issues on voter's minds in 2012.
The National Association of Realtor's consumer website houselogic.com asked consumers what issue area will most impact their vote in 2012. More than half of all respondents 54% identified jobs and unemployment as their top concern as they head to the polls next year. 27% said housing was the most important issue influencing their vote.

The housing spending gap between owners and renters is growing.
According to the October Core Logic US Housing and Mortgage Trends, renters now spend 5% more of their monthly budgets on housing costs than homeowners. And as rents rise, the gap is expected to widen. Since 1985, housing expenses have taken up 12% more of the average homeowner's households budget. Renters, however, have had to allocate 22% more of their budget to housing expenses.
